If you’ve never flown before or you’ve flown a million times, there are still probably some questions that still go unanswered.  Well today, I thought it would be a great idea to offer a bunch of advice and throw it all into a nutshell.  Now, I’m not going to give a detailed response for each category but rather a little three sentence summary.

Finding cheap airline tickets:  Cheap airline tickets are easy to come by.  I would recommend you use websites like PriceLine.com, where you can name your own price or book directly to save the most money.

Airline safety:  When flying with any airline, make sure that you know what you can and can’t bring on an airline.  It’s also important that you listen to the pre-boarding flight instructions.

Travel Health:  If you’re worried about ear pain, motion sickness or anything like this.  Find remedies or medicines you can take when taking off.

Fear of flying:  If you have a fear of flying, don’t worry about it because there are many things you can do to get rid of the fear of flying.

Preparing for your flight:  There’ s a lot involved when preparing for your flight.  Make sure you have everything packed, you know where to go and get there early.

Getting to the airport:  Always make sure you know how to get to the airport and make sure you get there at least 2 hours early to avoid any potential delays.

Passing through the gate:  Wear little clothing, follow the rules on the board, place everything including your shoes on the belt so that the TSA can inspect everything.

What to bring:  Bring your photo ID, your boarding pass or anything that shows proof of your boarding pass.

Finding airport parking:  If you’re going to drive to the airport and stay a few days, know of airport parking lots around the airport you’re going to and know how to get a good deal.

Getting cheap car rentals:  When you land at the arriving airport, you’re probably going to need a rental car, make sure you know how to find great deals and cars before you land.  Always make a reservation.

These are just some short snippets that you can use when looking for advice.  I also provided some older posts that I’ve written in regards to some of these tips.  Use these tips and hopefully they can help you out the next time you fly at the airport.

Best travel gadgets on the marketWhether you’re an avid traveller or you just love to travel here and there, there are many gadgets out there that you should know about when it comes to travelling.  Some of them seem silly while others you could get some use out of them, even at home.  Take a look at some of the gadgets out there that you may want to look at.

Travelers Companion Radio Alarm Clock – I know hotels have alarm clocks but not everywhere you go has one.  This little radio alarm clock allows you to always know the time as well as listen to local radio stations.

Eon Ice Card Light -I think this is amazing when it comes to camping or if you’re anywhere dark.  This lightweight LCD flashlight is as thick as a credit card and can fit in your wallet.  It has a 10 year guarantee and provides over 168 hours of light!

I am Not a Paper Cup Reusable Mug - If you hate regular travelling coffee mugs and like the cups that Starbucks and other coffee shops give you, this mug is great for those on the go that like those particular styles but want to re-use it over and over.

Travelon Hanging Toiletry Kit - We all need our toiletry goods when we travel on occasions.  We find it hard sometimes to pack everything we need into one bag and this is where this bag comes in.  You can fit a ton of items with it built in compartments making it extremely easy to pack.

Universal USB Car Charger Adapter - Have something that requires a USB to charge but don’t have your computer handy?  With this USB car charger, simply plug in your USB device and you’ll have a charged device in no time.

USB Laptop Speakers  - Let’s face it that laptop speakers are awful.  With this great little USB gadget, make your laptop speakers a lot louder than what they usually are.  This is great for movies and music on the go.

Travel Accessories Samsonite Dual Voltage Garment Steamer - Need to steam your clothes while on the go?  Instead of lugging around your ironing board and everything else, why not consider this little gadget?

Eagle Creek All Terrain Money Belt - While travelling, money is going to be important to you since this is what you’ll need to enjoy your trip.  With this money belt, hide it in a safe spot that no one will ever know about.

Kindle 2 - Last but not least, let’s look at the Kindle 2.  This amazing device will allow you to take books on the go.  Buy and download books directly to this device.  It allows you to store over 10,000 books!

With so many cool gadgets on the market, there are some that you’ve probably heard of and some that you haven’t.  Check out some of the gadgets mentioned above and see if any work out for you.

Are you single and you’re looking for ways to travel?  Well, don’t worry because there are thousands of people out there like you that are single and want to see the world.  Sure, many people don’t want to travel alone but some do.  If you’re one that prefers to be in a group, here are some tips that you can hopefully use.

Ask friends and family

Before you book your trip, ask some of your families or friends if they want to take a trip with you.  If none of them are willing to go, maybe you could sweeten the deal by paying a little bit, if not all of it for them?  Depending on how bad you want to go, I’m sure you could find some friends that would be willing to go with you.  I always say try and find someone you would be willing to go with rather than do it alone.

Don’t be afraid to go alone

Going alone sounds like a boring time but it actually can be quite relaxing.  Do some homework online and see what places experts recommend for those that are single.  Doesn’t it sound nice to wake up whenever you want?  lay on the beach without anyone bothering you?  Even if you go for a few days, it’s nice to leave the outside world and live with just yourself.

Look for services online

Some services online specialize with those that are single.  Do a quick Google search and you’ll soon find out that there are many places that are willing to hook you up with others that are single.  Even though you’ll meet up with strangers, it doesn’t mean you won’t make any friends.  Just think of it that other people are there because of the same reason you are.  Whether you want to meet someone for a long term relationship or you want to have fun, you’ll find many other people in the same boat.

Always remember safety

When travelling alone, always keep safety in the back of your head.  If you’re not familiar with where you’re going, make sure you stay close to the hotel or in a well lit area with lots of people.  As long as you play it safe, you shouldn’t have a problem staying safe.  You just need to use your head.

Travelling can be fun when you’re single, especially if you go on some of these sites that I mentioned above because you can meet some really great people.  Go out there, find some places that sound like they interest you and go from there.  In the long run, you have to have fun.

Are you taking a flight somewhere in the near future?  If so, you may be getting ready, getting everything packed, and you’re deciding what you should take onto the plane.  Each person is allowed to take on a carry-on luggage, which can be very convenient.  It just is hard to decide what you should take with you, and what you shouldn’t, especially if it’s a long flight.  Continue to read below to find out what may be helpful to bring on your plane.

Magazines/Book – It is always a good idea to bring something to read or look at. We often underestimate how boring a plane ride can be.  The take offs and landings may be exciting, but once we realize we’ll be sitting in the air for hours, we look for any possible entertainment.  As long as you don’t get sick reading in the air, bring something to read!

Camera- Is this your first flight, or do you know that there will be some amazing views, maybe with oceans, lakes, mountains ect?  It is always fun to get a few pictures.  They are always nice to look at, and you’d be surprised at what kind of pictures you can get in the air.

Headphones – Headphones are always great to bring on the plane.  Whether you have an old cassette player, CD player or MP3 player, bring it along.  Some good music may help the time go by faster, and may help you relax if you get nervous flying.

Laptop- Although you can’t get an Internet connection, it is fun to watch movies on your laptop.  Load a few different movies so that way it seems like you’re at home watching a movie.  Or you can always play some games!

Snacks- Snacks should always be brought on a plane.  The ones the plane may give you will be very small, and if they give you something larger, it will most likely be very costly.  Pack something that doesn’t need to be refrigerated like goldfish, pretzels, etc.

It is always a good idea to bring on a carry-on luggage.  So if you’re not sure what you should bring along, consider some of these ideas above for some entertainment, and some snacks to satisfy your hunger!
