Being on the road most likely means that you’re going to be bringing your phone along.  If you don’t have a cover for your iPhone, I would highly recommend that you look into getting one ASAP!  Not only are you going to be able to protect your phone when falls, or hits a counter, it’s going to save you the headache of going out and getting a new one.

What are the best iSkins?

iSkin Solo – Red: If you want something unique, and one that is loved by many, you will want to consider this Solo brand.  It’s sleek, soft, and will make your iPhone look a million times better.

  • iSkin Solo Case for iPhone 3G: After researching online, I’ve found this case to be one of the best in terms of durability, and reviews.  It fits the phone perfect, and design will just blow you away!
  • Breeze Blue iSkinSolo Case: This color is unique, but many people tend to like it.  It’s the one pictured up above on the post.  It fits your phone perfect, and is compatible with the revoClip.
  • iSkin Revo2: This case is a very unique case that makes the iPhone look amazing.  It has a unique style, and the design, as well as the quality is beyond this world.
  • iSkin Solo – Blue: This is the last one on the list.  Just like the first 2 I talked about, this one comes in a blue color.  It looks good, but wouldn’t be my personal color of choice.

What you’re going to find while you’re traveling is that a case is highly recommended.  Go out there and spend $10 or so to protect your $300 investment.  If you do a lot of traveling, especially for business, you’re probably going to bring your phone around.  Check out a few of these cases / iskins, and see which one will best suit your iPhone.

Top AA battery chargersWhile traveling the roads, or overseas, you’re going to want to take pictures to document your trip.  What you’re going to find is that a lot of items today unfortunately take batteries.  Instead of heading out of the store, and going out to purchase batteries every month, have you ever considered a battery charger?

Once you purchase a battery charger, you’re going to find that you will won’t have to purchase another set of batteries for a long time.  Simply charge them when they are low, and take them out when they are charged.  They will be as good as new!

Here are a few kits that I would recommend that you look into…

  • Sanyo Eneloop Rechargable Batteries: When you think of batteries, you probably think of Duracell and Engergizer.  Obviously they know how to make a good marketing campaign, but you don’t realize is that they don’t even come close to be #1 in the chargeable battery market.  This Sanyo brand is by far the best batteries that you can consider, and it’s not going to break the bank either!
  • Sony Power Charger: This Sony brand is another set that falls in this top 4.  It has great reviews, a compact designed, and it perfect for travelers.  The worldwide voltage capacity allows for easy charging anywhere in the world!
  • Duracell Value Charger: Duracell a name brand battery has a great charger, but again, isn’t rated #1 by the users. You can get this set for less than $20, and comes with 4 AA, or if you wish, AAA batteries.  No cords, and plugs directly into the wall.
  • Sony BCG-34HRMF4 Battery Charger: This sleek design has a great LCD display that will monitor all 4 circuits and charges both AA as well as AAA batteries.  It has a universal voltage from 100-240V.

Chargers are highly recommended when you’re bringing around a lot of electronics on a trip.  What you’re going to find is that investing into something like this is going to save you a ton of money in the long haul!

Best travel alarmMany of us travel for business, and when you leave your home, you leave a lot of things behind such as an alarm clock.  Since we don’t want to unplug our bulky alarm clock, and throw it into our luggage, I would highly consider investing into a travel alarm clock because you can’t trust that there’s going to be one everywhere.

Here are a few travel alarm clocks that I highly recommend when you’re about to hit the road and need to wake up a certain point during the day.

  • ELGIN Travel Alarm Clock: This clock is fairly reasonable in price, and gets the job done.  It’s compact, lightweight, and the tiny LCD screen makes it easy for you to read the time in the dark.
  • Chaney Instruments Sojourn LCD: A great compact folding alarm that comes equipped with a snooze and light.  It’s black metallic style makes it look good just about anywhere you go.
  • Seiko Travel Alarm: This is by far one of my favorites.  It comes with a silver metallic case, and can lock as well.  It displays the time, date, as well as when the alarm is going to go off.
  • Seiko Get up and Glow: This is just like the one mentioned above this one, but is black.  Many others seem to like this one because of the style.  It’s light, compact, and very easy to use.
  • Casio Snooze Daily Alarm Clock: This simple, yet reasonably priced alarm clock comes with snooze, as well as a light button making it easier to read while in the dark.

Most of these clocks are going to cost you less than a few dollars, and when traveling whether it be for leisure or business, you’re going to find that you will be thankful that you purchased one!  Never rely on the hotel clocks because you will never know if they will be working, or even be there!

If you’re going to find yourself travelling outside of the United States, or maybe even to the United States, you’re going to find that many of your electronic items just won’t work with the outlets.  Many people get to their foreign destination, try to plug something in, and it won’t work!

Instead of heading down to a gift shop, or some electronic shop that’s going to rip you off, I would advise that you pick one up before you head out.  Many of them can easily be picked up for less than $10.  Below are a few that I recommend that you look into, when you’re ready to make a purchase.

  • All-in-One Travel Kit: This plug adapter set is for the US, UK, EU, as well as AU.  It’s compatible with the worldwide standard, and can be suitable for up to 150 countries.  Easily transform the adapter into 4 configurations.
  • Samsonite Europe Grounded: This highly rated adapter on Amazon is engineered for global travel, and allows you to plug things such as your appliances into foreign wall outlets.  This fits many types of wall outlets.
  • Samsonite Converter with Pouch: This great traveling kit is great for those that want everything in one.  It also comes with a great pouch that makes it really easy to carry around.  Comes with a 1600 watt converter, and can operate with many foreign outlets.
  • International Plug for Europe: If you’re looking for something that’s under $2, I would honestly just pick up this plug.  It’s an plug type “B”, and can work in Europe.  This is a plug adapter only.
  • Travel Accessories Samsonite Non-Grounded: This adapter is engineered for global travel, and allows you to plug into many foreign wall outlets such as Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and more.
  • VP 106 Universal Plug Adapter: This one is meant for the USA, but is great for overseas travelers coming to the United States.  This will work with all USA outlets.

As you can see, there are plenty of adapters to choose from.  Whether you’re looking for one to travel to Europe with, or one that’s not going to break the bank, check out these top 6, and see which one fits your needs!

Packing for your next vacation shouldn’t be a stressful ordeal, but rather, it should be a time when you’re getting ready to enjoy yourself, or simply getting away.  If you’re looking for a checklist on what you’re going to need in terms of packing for a trip, I compiled a simple, yet effective list that you can use, in order to ensure that you have all the things that you need.

Medical

  • Any prescriptions that you’re currently on?
  • First aid kits (band aids, pain relievers)

Documents

  • Driver’s License
  • Passport
  • Frequent Flyer Card
  • Airline Tickets / E-Ticket
  • Visa (optional)
  • Photo ID
  • Travelers check, if bringing them

For Men

  • Shoes
  • Belts
  • Boxers / Underwear
  • Shirts
  • Hat
  • Dress Shoes / Shirt / Pants if necessary
  • PJs
  • Robe
  • Sandals
  • Shorts
  • Jacket
  • Swim suit
  • Tie
  • Working out clothes

For Women

  • Bathing Suit
  • Bras / Underwear
  • Jewelry
  • Dress
  • Heels
  • Shorts
  • Sandals
  • Robes / PJs
  • Skirt
  • Dress Pants / Buisness Suit
  • Shoes
  • Socks
  • Jacket
  • Sweatshirt
  • Hat
  • Workout clothes

Toiletries

  • Brush
  • Deodorant
  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Mouthwash
  • Floss
  • Shaving Cream / Razors
  • Soap / Shampoo / Conditioner

Now, you’re probably not going to need everything on your list.  What I do when it comes down to packing is I look at the days ahead.  If I’m going to be gone for 7 days, I will bring 8-9 outfits, just in case one gets ruined, etc.  I will also try to determine what I’m going to do each, and every day.  This is going to make it a lot easier to pack, and figure out what yo uneed.

Obviously, you’re going to need toiletry items, and clothing.  It’s up to you to figure out what exactly you’re going to need.  If you’re going to check in at the airport, you will also want to make sure that you’re following the TSA guidelines.
