When people travel, there are certain habits that we usually do. It is usually influenced by the culture and the environment where we grow up to. Just like other cultures, Americans also have distinct habits that make them who they are when they travel. If you want to know what these are, here are a few of these habits which are very much observable in American travelers.
Eighteen percent of Americans travel during thanksgiving week and weekend. Twenty-two percent said that their travel would happen anytime between December to New Year’s Day. The other thirty two percent said that they would travel after New Year’s Day up until March. And the other percentage said they would rather stay home or they are still undecided yet.
On the other hand, a large number of travelers said that they would spend less for this year’s travel compared to last year. From those surveyed, it reached up to thirty five percent. Thirty seven percent said they will spend about the same amount and twenty seven percent plans to spend more. It has been observed that those who plan to spend less are the younger generations and those who have less income compared to the others.
Among the surveyed people, twenty eight percent said that they would take fewer trips this year compared to last year during thanksgiving-March period. Twenty five percent said they will take more trips and forty five percent said they will have the same number of trips.
It is observable that the travelling habit compared to last year has lessened. Perhaps this is due to the economic stability which affected many Americans. But, it is also observable that there are also people who tend to have the same number of trips and some even increasing the number. Then we could say that not all are affected by the crisis.
