Every one wants to save money, and if you’re looking for a last minute hotel deal, you’re going to find that it really isn’t that hard as long as you do a little homework.  Whether you just want to get away for the weekend, or maybe you want to take a vacation at the last minute, you’re going to soon find out that it’s going to best to book at the last minute, because hotels are going to be desperate for your business.

Make a bid on Priceline: I love Priceline, and it’s honestly the only place that I go to when I’m booking a hotel room.  The reason that I love this website is solely based on the fact that I can bid on a room in a particular area, and I will see which hotels are going to accept my offer.  For example, let’s say that you want to go to Chicago, but you only want to spend $89 a night.  You can tell Priceline that, and a hotel will accept your offer.  The only downfall with this one is that you’re going to find that you may get tied up with a lousy 1, or 2 star hotel.

Try deal based sites: If you don’t know where to go on vacation, or where you want to go, you may want to let other websites do the dirty work for you.  Sites such BookIt and Travelzoo both offer last minute deals in just about every state around.  You can narrow your search down by the price range, as well as what region that you want to head to.

Call up a local hotel: When you don’t want to travel far, and only want to stay in your local area, call up a hotel in your area, and ask what kind of deal that they have for the upcoming week.  If you want to really gamble, you can always show up at the hotel and haggle a deal at the desk.

The Internet is really the best way to go when you’re looking to save the most money.  Here, you can compare prices and check out whats available in your region.  You’re going to find that calling up each hotel is going to take time, and I would only recommend that for those looking for local deals.
