Air travel can be frustrating for some, or can be a breeze for others. It will all depend on how much you fly. It’s like anything in life, the more you do it, the more you’ll know. When it comes to air travel, I’ll point out a few quick pointers that you can use in order to make your trip stress free.
Pack as light as possible - When packing your luggage, try and pack as little as possible. Since most airlines charge you for checked in luggage in today’s world, I would recommend you look into carry on luggage. Check out the best carry-on luggage page today to see what might fit your needs. The lesson here is to carry on your luggage if you can.
Get the best seat ahead of time - Before you fly, make sure that you choose your seat online. The best way to do so is by booking early and choosing it while you purchase your ticket. Most people will avoid the middle seat, but you may enjoy it, I don’t know. Frankly, I prefer an aisle seat but it all depends on the traveller.
Bring entertainment - Some airlines have entertainment and some don’t. You’ll want to bring something to keep yourself occupied because the flight can be pretty boring if you don’t bring anything along. Look into bringing books, video games, a laptop, or whatever it might be that passes the time for you.
Get to the airport early - Being early is always better than being late. You’ll never know how busy the airport is going to be once you get there. You have to check in to get your tickets, check in your luggage, go through the security process, and find your gate. This all can easily take a hour or so alone. Let’s not forget the parking as well. I always recommend you get to the airport at least 2-3 hours early.
Find cheap parking - If you’re going to drive to the airport, make sure you know of the cheapest place to park around the airport. The off site airport parking is usually your best bet compared to the airport parking garages. If you haven’t flown to this particular airport before, I would recommend you know where to park to save time and money.
These are just a few tips you can use, but they are big ones. Travelling generally should be a stress free and fun time (especially if you’re going on vacation.) Use these tips to your advantage and have a fun time at the airport!
