Flying can be a pain sometimes and it’s hard to keep track of all of the things you will need to make your flight a little easier. This is why I’m going to create a checklist that most travellers can use when they fly, so that you won’t forget anything back at home.
Your luggage – As dumb as it sounds, people tend to forget their bags at home. Make sure that you have all of your bags with you. Also, make sure that all of your bags are secure and have name tags on them just in case they get lost.
Toiletries – No matter how long you’re gone for, you’re going to need all of your bathroom goodies. Make sure you grab your soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, etch. These items are very common for travellers to leave behind.
Entertainment – Flying can be a rough one sometimes when it comes to entertainment. You should never rely on the airline to keep you entertained. Make sure you bring magazines, books, video games or whatever will keep you entertained on the flight to your destination.
Airline Information – Whatever you have that’s related to your flight, make sure you have this all handy just in case you find out there are problems at the airport regarding your tickets. Print up itineraries, boarding passes, and everything else. If you purchased these tickets on online travel agent, they usually have all of this information handy in your account.
Travel Guides – If you’re going somewhere for the first time, you might have planned your trip out in advance. Whatever paperwork you printed off of the computer, make sure you bring this with you so that your trip is a little easier. This way, you’ll know how to get around to places you haven’t been to before.
Medication – If you currently have medication because of illness, etc, make sure you place this in your carry on bag. You’ll never want to place this on your checked in luggage because if it gets lost, you may never see this again. Your carry-on luggage should always have the stuff you need all the time such as a cell phone, car keys, medicine.
Driver’s License / Passport – If you’re travelling overseas, make sure you have your passport handy. If you don’t have this, you can kiss your flight goodbye because they won’t let you board. The same will go for your driver’s license. If you don’t have an ID with you, you won’t be able to board.
It’s important to use common sense when preparing to fly. Make sure that you have everything you’ll need for that particular trip. Every trip is different. As long as you have all of your necessities, etc, you shouldn’t have a problem forgetting anything.
