If you have a flight in the near future, you may want to look into bringing some entertainment with you on the plane.  Whether you’re looking for electronics or a smaller item like a book, there are thousands of things that you can bring on board that can keep you entertained for hours.

Below, I thought of a handful of things that can keep you entertained while you’re flying the great blue skies.

Portable DVD Player:  Nothing is better than popping in a DVD that you enjoy and watching while flying.  Today, you can find a great portable DVD player for less than $150.

Amazon’s Kindle:  The Kindle is a fairly new device that allows you download books directly onto your portable reading device.  Instead of carrying around 10 books, why not pile them all into one!

Sony PSP:  The PSP is a little handheld device comparable to the Sony Playstation but in a handheld size.  If you’re into video games, check out this little device that can play movies and games with great graphics!

Nintendo DS:  The DS is similar to the PSP but made by Nintendo.  If you’re into Nintendo games, you may want to check out the DS.  With hundreds of games on the market, it’s been a hot seller for the past few years.

A Netbook:  I know this would be an expensive purchase but a netbook is great for those looking to travel.  It’s small, light and can do just about anything a laptop can do.

A Laptop:  If a netbook isn’t your cup of tea and you’re in the need of a laptop of you have one, this is a great source of entertainment if you want to play games, watch DVDs or even surf the web if the airline has Internet access.

MP3 Player:  Whether you have a MP3 player now or you want to get one, it’s a great way to plan your trip by listening to music that you love.  There are a lot of MP3 players on the market, so make sure you do your research!

There’s so much to do when on a plane.  Whether you want to read, daydream or use your electronics, look at some of the ideas mentioned above.  If you don’t have a particular item, maybe it’s time to get one so that you can use anytime and not just on the airplane.
