Whether you’re new to the Internet, or you haven’t booked an airline flight before, that’s okay, because it’s not as hard as you think.  In fact, I’m going to walk you step by step on how you can book a flight in no time, so that you can get on your way.

By now, you’ve probably realized that the Internet is the way to go.  With so many airlines charging you just to call up, and book tickets, it makes no sense to get them on the phone.

Use online services like Travelocity or Priceline

If you’re not loyal to an airline, you may want to use these sites mentioned above to find the best deal possible.  If you’re loyal to an airline, or only feel comfortable flying a particular airline, you will want to proceed to their main website, rather than using a third party.

Know when you’re traveling

You’ll want to have your dates handy on when you want to travel, because they will ask for these to give you the best prices possible.  They will also ask you for the airports you want to depart from, as well as arrive in.  The more information you have on your flight, the easier it’s going to be for you.

Book your flight

When you finally find a flight that looks good to you, you’re going to want to book your flight.  You’ll need your personal information, as well as everyone that’s going to travel with you.  Make sure that you spell their names properly, so that you don’t run into problems at the airport.  They are very strict about this since 9-11.

Print your itinerary

The last step that you want to do is print out all of your records for your own collection.  You can also check in 24 hours prior to check in with most airlines.  This is a great way to save on waiting in line at the airport.  If you bring in carry on bags, this can save you time as well.
