So, you’re you have friends, or family coming into town, and you want to know where they are. Well, with today’s technology, it’s fairly easy to find services like this that can help you track the flights in the air at any given time.
If you carry an iPhone, did you know that there are hundreds of apps out there that are built just for your phone? If you have one, be sure to check out the following apps:
Airport Status - Shows you the delays at major airports around the world
Gate Maps - Instead of going to the big board looking for your flight, why not use this app?
Flight Tracker – You want to track that flight, right? This software will do it for you. Input the flight number, or the destination, and you can track it in the air.
Seat Guide - SeatGuru.com came out with a very cool application that shows you all of the best places to sit on a plane, as well as the worst seats. If you travel a lot, you may want to look into this app, before you book your next flight.
Aeroguide - Have a flight coming up, but you don’t know what your plane is going to be about? Simply type in who you’re flying with, as well as the airline model, and it will give you a description, as well as what it looks like.
When it comes to iPhone applications, and the airport, these are the apps that you should consider. Since I generally don’t fly a lot, I don’t see the need for them, but someone that travels frequently, and considers the airport their second home, you may want to consider these apps.
