Airline travel is one of the number one methods of travel today. The public generally travels on one of the major airlines that give the opportunity to go first class. First class is one way people of prominence like to travel. There are other methods that the elite like travel using an airplane which is by owning their own Jet Plane. Many people who are rich and/or famous prefer to have their own plane. When someone owns their own plane they can make it as comfortable as they like and normally they can go where they want when they want. This is luxury in flying without the hassle of being inspected at the airport, waiting in a terminal or any of the general nuisances that go along with traveling.

The elite who own their own plane do have their concessions as well for instances they must have a hanger in which to keep their plane. They are licensed to fly by taking private training or in some cases they learn while in the military. Some people prefer not to fly at the plane but hire a professional pilot. When a professional pilot is hired then this relieves the owner of the responsibility of checking and filing a flight plan, maintaince on the plane and getting permission to land where you need. The owner ship of an airplane takes on a lot of responsibility.  You have government regulations that your plane must meet as well as following federal guidelines for flights. The Elite do like the capability of having their own Jet Plane because it helps them to get to places in a hurry or enjoy just flying in the wild blue yonder.

Many major corporations provide small Jet Planes for their top executives in order to make sure that business meetings are kept. Many corporations own a fleet of Jet Planes while they maintain them at smaller airports some are actually kept at the larger airports. Many top executives use the Jets for business but sometimes for pleasure as well.  Many times executives know how to fly their own designated plane and do not need to wait for a pilot. This is an advantage for the executive and for the corporation. That is why many corporations have paid to get their top executives training as pilots or licensed if they already know how to fly.
