Whether you have a relative coming into town, or you just want to track a particular flight in the air, there are some pretty cool sites online that you should check out, if you’re looking to do it for free.
FlightStats.com - This is probably the most advanced site out of them all, and one that I like a lot. When you enter this website, you can look at every airport to see if there are any delays. On the right hand site, you can then search by flight number, or by route. Input what you want, and it tracks the flight for you. It’s fast, and free.
FlightAware.com - Another cool website that I frequent whenever I’m looking to track a flight is FlightAware. Just like FlightStats, you’ll input your airplane’s information, and it will show a little map where the plane is currently at. Once again, this is great for those waiting in the airport for a flight, or for a relative getting ready to land.
FlightView.com - FlightView is rather simple, but I like it because it has a very cool application for your cell phone. This makes it great for business travlers, or even those currently in the airport. This website works just like the rest. Input the flight’s information, and see where the flight is in real time.
Technology has come a long way, and if you didn’t know about something like this, it’s a great free tool to use for the future. Be sure to bookmark a few of these websites that I find to be incredibly useful when it comes to tracking flights in real time.
