Planning a vacation can be hard, and when you don’t want to stay in a hotel, and rather, a condo, it can make the search a little tougher.  What I wanted to show you today is how you can spot some great rentals in any area across the globe.  Not only is renting a condo usually cheaper than a hotel, it’s more private, and there’s a lot less going on around in the area in terms of noise, and everything else.

Start your search online: Many people start their condo rental searches in the papers, or try to find something via word of mouth, but there are some great websites out there.  Try sites such as VacationHomeRentals.  The site deals with owners that are willing to rent to you.  This is a great way to find a condo for the week that you’re willing to travel.

Other websites that you may want to try as well are the following:

Craigslist has rentals: A lot of people overlook Craigslist, but it’s a great source for rentals.  When looking for a rental though, always make sure you ask questions, and never rent from someone that doesn’t have any pictures on the web.  Craigslist is notorious for scams, and it’s important that you be smart about your rentals.

Try the paper: Every city, no matter how big, or small will have a classified section online.  You can simply find these by searching for “<city name> newspaper.”  Browse through the paper’s classified ads, and see if there are any rentals.  This is usually the last resort that I take when finding a rental, but it generally works fairly well.

Once you find a rental, it’s nice, because you can keep going back.  If you find the right owner, they will sometimes cut you some nice discounts if you book year, after year.  Try some of the tips mentioned above, and see if you can land the perfect condo rental.
