Sign up for the newsletter - Many airlines have a newsletter that you can subscribe too.  I would highly recommend that you look into this, because it’s free, and you’ll be able to get special deals for newsletter carriers only.  The cool thing about this is that they can pinpoint where you live, and give you exclusive deals in your area.

Use search engines - There are great search engines out there such as Kayak, and Farecast, that both enable you to search a ton of airlines, and their fares.  It’s a great place to search all of the airline prices all in one spot, and find the best deals on particular days.
