Even though the economy has been pretty rough, it doesn’t mean that you can’t find a job.  If you’re looking for a career in the aviation industry, there are a lot of tips that you can follow in order to land that dream gig of yours.  Even if you have to start at the bottom, it’s going to be a start!

Head to the airport’s website - No matter where you live, you’re most likely going to be next to an airport.  Whether it’s big, or small, you’re going to find that there’s something there for you.  Don’t ignore the smaller airports because they are small, because these may be the easiest ones to get into.

What you’ll want to do is head to their site, and look for the careers section.  I’m not sure what you want to get into, but look for the jobs that will fit your needs.  If you’re unsure of what you want to do yet, check out this types of airline jobs post I wrote a while back.

Try your major career sites - Of course, you’ll want to try the old fashioned way when it comes to finding a job online.  Try out great job searching sites such as Indeed.com, and also, I wrote a post a while ago as well that shows you some top airline career opportunity websites that you can use in order to find the perfect job in the airline industry.

Network – Just like any industry, you’ll find that this tactic alone can land you just about any job.  Try joining groups, or talk on forums.  You’ll never know who you will meet, and how they can connect you in the field.  Work hard networking alone, and great things shall come.

Finding a job takes time, and if you work hard at it like anything, you’re going to find that good things come about it.  Try your best at using these sources, as well as networking with others.  See where it takes you, and hopefully you land your dream job!
