There are a lot of airline based websites out there, and yes, it’s tough to find a site that will give you the best air fares at a great price.  So, how do you find out who has the cheapest air fares?  Do you use the Internet, or are there any other strategies?

Try an ebook online - There are some tips, and tricks I would love to tell you, but the authors of these books may get a little mad.  If you really want to find out how to save to up to 80% on your next flight, I want to recommend two books.

• Travel Agent Secrets: This book is from a former travel agent who shares all the dirty secrets about the airfare industry.   Find out how you can get the industry standard prices as a consumer.
• Save 80% on your Vacation: This book is more than just about airline tickets.  This goes into depth about hotel rooms, rental cars, and more.   It’s a great buy, and you’ll get a ton of secrets from this book.

Use the Internet search engines - If an ebook isn’t your cup of tea, I can understand.  If you don’t want to find out how to get the dirt cheap prices, I will show you some free tips that will hopefully get you the best prices on your airline ticket.

• Kayak.com: Kayak is one of the best search engines on the web when it comes to comparing airline tickets.  What I like about this search engine is that you can compare the prices month by month, and it’s all laid out on a nice chart for you.
• Travelocity: Travelocity is another one that not only searches for the best fares, but you can find great vacation packages as well.  If you need to get a rental car, hotel, and more, this may be the search for you.  I’ve done it before, and saved up to 50%.
