The next time you head out on a trip, and you want to go camping, did you know that there are some places out there such as Wal-Mart that will allow you to camp for free?  Many travelers, and people that love to take road trips have no idea about this.

What I wanted to point out today are some of the places that you can take advantage of, the next time you head out on your trip.  By stopping at a place like this, you’re going to be able to save money, and you won’t want to worry about getting kicked off the premises.

  • Wal-Mart: Yes, you can take your RV, Van, or whatever you may have, and you can camp out in their parking lot.  Now, you can’t get  a tent out, and start up a fire, but instead, you can park in the parking lot, and get away with it!  They encourage it!
  • Flying J: One of America’s biggest rest stops offer free camping as well.  The next time you take a road trip, keep your eyes peeled for all of those roadside truck stops.  Flying J, as well as Love’s, and a few others are relatively big.  Find one on your route, and consider stopping at one as well.
  • State Camps: Every state is different on how they manage their campgrounds.  You may want to check with the rules in your location.  What you’re going to find is that some states will allow you to camp for free, but there will be limitations.  Again, you will want to check with your local state rules.

These are by far some of the top ways to travel.  What you’re going to find out is that Wal-Mart is by far one of the best ways to go.  You can literally find one in ever town almost, and it’s a great place to shop in morning when you wake up!
