Things to do in NYCIf you have a trip planned in the future, or you’ve always wanted to visit New York City, there are so many things that you can do, and you don’t have to pay a dime.  Generally, when you think of NYC, you think of spending hundreds of dollars on a hotel, and food.  While this can be true, you don’t have to spend your money on everything.

Central Park: If you’re  fan of parks, you’ll want to visit this park that right in the middle of all of the action.  You usually don’t think of a park being in a city, but this one is filled with over 8,000 acres of trees and walking trails.  Whether you want to take a stroll, have a picnic, or play a game of football, this is a great place to enjoy a nice afternoon.

Times Square: If shopping is your name, Times Square is the place to be.  Filled with advertisements, and a ton of stores, you’ll want to take a stroll, and visit stores like Virgin, Hershey’s, and more.  It’s free to window shop, but if you want to buy something, that’s a whole another story!

Brooklyn Bridge: With this bridge being one of the oldest bridges in the country, you may want to go check out the bridge in person.  Here, you can get a close view as it stretches across the East River.  The Brooklyn bridge connects Brooklyn to Lower Manhattan.

Grand Central: If you’re into architecture, you’ll want to step inside this beautiful train station.  Inside you’ll find tall arched windows, beautiful made floors, and design alone will make the trip to this station worth it.

These are a few of my favorite stops when I went to NYC.  Every city will have something like this, where you don’t have to pay a dime.  Now, I know kids won’t be a fan of this type of stuff, but it really makes you respect the architecture, and it’ll allow you to enjoy the city even more!
