Unfortunately, the flood of June 2008 affected many of our unique cultural attractions. We are, however, adapting. The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art has a major and moving exhibit dedicated to the flood. The museum also oversees 5 Turner Alley, the studio in which Grant Wood painted “American Gothic”, among other pieces. The Science Station, the Czech & Slovak Museum and Theatre Cedar Rapids have temporarily moved to a shopping mall, Lindale Mall. Please come and see how we comeback, bigger and brighter than ever.
