If you plan on taking a trip to the airport anytime soon, you may want to look into an airport bus service rather than parking at the airport itself. It’s probably going to save you money and you won’t have to worry about driving there and keeping your car unsupervised for a few days. I would recommend a bus service for anyone travelling longer than 5 days.
Research the bus services in your area
Depending on where you live will depend on what kind of bus services that will be your area. They all are going to vary depending on price and it’s up to you how you’re going to get there. Do you want to travel in style? Are you happy with a simple mini-van? It’s up to you. The more you want, the more you have to pay.
Analyze what you’re bringing
When you’re ready to book a bus, you’ll have to look at how many people you’re going to ride with. If you’re riding with less than 4 people, a bus should be just fine. If you’re travelling with more, you may have to consider a bigger option. Keep in mind that if you need a bigger vehicle, it is going to cost you more money.
The key is to save money
If you’re doing all of this to potentially save money, look at how much parking is going to cost if you don’t mind driving down there. I did some research recently and I found out I was going to be gone for 5 days. Transportation around my area would have cost me $60. I had found parking down by the airport for $7 a day plus a coupon for one free day. I had only paid a little less than $30. This goes to show you that transportation isn’t always the cheapest route.
If you go on most transportation websites, they should have the rates right on the page for you. A quick Google search should show you a few places in your area. In my opinion, I wouldn’t pay no more than $50 for transportation to the airport.
Once again, depending on where you live will depend on what kind of services you can get. If you live in say, New York City, you’ll have no problem finding a service but if you live in North Dakota, that’s a whole different part. Do your homework and do what’s best when it comes to saving you money and getting you to the airport.
