We all love to take vacations, although there is usually one thing that comes in the way of us taking them more frequently – the cost.  The cost of vacations aren’t always cheap, but there are ways to cut down costs and leave more money to save or spend during your trip.  One way to cut the costs of your trip is to find the cheapest flights possible.  This can be done in a number of ways.  Continue reading below to tips!

  1. Online:  Finding your flights online is the cheapest way to get a flight.  I would check a few different websites and see which one has the cheapest rates.  A great website for comparing is Kayak.
  2. PricelineIf you’re looking to take a risk on bidding for your flight be sure to check out Priceline.  Priceline is my favorite way to get a good deal on a hotel, car rental and a flight.  Use “name your own price” and see how much you can get knocked off!
  3. Luggage:  Airlines are charging big fees for luggage.  So, take a look at what your airline charges for before you get on the plane.  If they charge for luggage try to avoid as many bags as possible and consider taking on carry on bags.  Although it may be the other way around so be sure to figure this out ahead of time.
  4. Days and time:  Depending on which day and which time you’re flying the rates vary.  Fool around with the days and times and see what you can come up with for the cheapest solution.
  5. Airlines:  Also, be careful of which airline you take.  Some are more costly than others.  Do your research, compare the airlines and look for the cheapest flight possible.

There are a few different ways you can catch a cheap flight.  To start, I would highly recommend considering some of these tips.  It all depends which website you’re getting the deal from, which airline your traveling with, when you’re going and how much luggage you have to bring!
