We are always looking for ways to save money.  Especially when we know we have to drop a lot of money at a certain time.  If you’re going on a vacation or need a flight somewhere and you’re looking to save money on parking costs, consider a few of these tips below

Ways to save money when parking at or near the airport:

Drop off – First of all, if you can, have someone drop you off at the airport.  Pay for the drive down there and gas, and you’ll easily save money.  This is the best way to avoid high parking costs and the whole mess with parking.

Close parking – If there is parking around the area, avoid parking at the airport.  Instead, find a parking lot that allows over night parking.  They usually charge about $8-$10 per day instead of the higher costs the airport charges.  Not to mention, if you park at a different lot, you will get free shuttle service to the airport from the lot you’re parking at.

Coupons – Look online for coupons.  You may be able to find printable coupons that either give you a discount, or they give you a free day of parking.  This could be for parking at the airport or a lot near by.  It never hurts, and only takes a few minutes of researching.

Hotels – If you live farther away from the airport, it is probably best that you find a hotel in the area.  A lot of hotels will offer you free parking if you stay the night with them.  Based on how long you will be gone, you can sometimes save money doing this.
