Always book in the middle of the week

The worst thing that you can do when flying is book on the weekends.  This is generally, the most expensive time to fly, since it’s convenient for everyone else.  Most people have to get back to work, and everyday lives, making Saturday and Sundays look nice.  If possible, try to book your flight on a Tuesday, or Wednesday.

If you’re loyal to a particular airline, you’ll want to join their newsletter.  When you join any companies newsletter, it shows that you’re interested in the company.  In return, you’re going to receive coupon offers, special inclusive deals, and more.  It never hurts to add your name to the list!

Book after the 10th of the month

Experts inside the airline industry say that its always the best to book after the second week.  This is when the airlines will re-adjust their inventory.  It will show them what tickets that they need to sell, etc.  If there’s not much demand for a particular flight, they will cut back the costs.

Book a package deal

If you’re going to stay at your location for a few days, you may want to consider a package deal.  If you find yourself booking a hotel, car, and more, you can potentially save 20-30% more.  Look into package deals when going to your destination.

Always book direct

If you’re going to book your airline tickets online, always book through the airline directly.  99% of the time, you’re going to find that the airline is going to give you the best price, since you’re working with them directly.  Other third party sites are going to charge you a booking fee, etc.

By following these tips alone, you’ll enable yourself to get the best deals possible on cheap airfare.  Do your homework, and if you’re not loyal to one particular airline, look at all of them to see who’s offering the best deal.
