Today, let me give you 5 great tips that you can use when you’re looking to book your next trip to Iceland.  You’re going to find that there are many resources that you can take advantage of.  By following a few listed below, you should be able to save a ton of money!

#1 Name your own price: Priceline has a great feature named, “Name your own price.”  What you can do is name your own price on just about everything.  From your hotel room to your airline tickets, its a great way to easily get 30%+ knocked off your bill.

#2 Bookmark Travelzoo: Travelzoo is one of the best places around to find some killer deals.  Every Wednesday, they release their top 20 deals.  Now, Iceland isn’t going to be on the list all the time, but what you will find out is that you can head to the main site and narrow down your choice to what country / state that you want.

#3 Use hotel price comparison engines: Sites such as Kayak, as well as TripAdvisor are both great search engines to use when looking for everything from hotels to rental cars.  You’re always going to want to search out reviews, as well as locations, because prices can vary greatly from city to city.

#4 Try and buy direct: Yes, a vacation package can generally be your best bet since you’re more than likely going to fly there.  If you book directly with the hotels and rental companies, rather than a third party, you can generally save a few dollars.  This isn’t always the case, as I mentioned earlier with the name your own price.

For example, if you were to stay in a Holiday Inn, check out the Holiday Inn website before you book through a third party website.  The Internet makes it great to compare prices.

Iceland is a fantastic place to visit and what you’re going to find is that if you live in the United States, you obviously can’t drive there.  Since you’re going to need all three things such as a place to stay, airline tickets, and more, you can easily find some deals, as long as you do your homework online.
