The next time you head down to the airport and you’re going to bring luggage, it’s so important that you bring a luggage tag.  While many bags already have tags strapped onto them, some people tend to like to purchase other tags since they are going to be more durable, as well as noticeable.

A little trick that I do is that I will purchase a luggage tag that sits out above the rest.  This way, when my luggage comes down the carousel, I’m going to be able to spot it really easy.  No, I don’t care if its hot pink because I just laugh at those trying to spot what is theirs!

If you’re looking to get a new luggage tag, most of them are the same and only should cost you about $5 or so.  Below are a few tags that you should consider.  You’re going to want something durable, as well as one that’s going to stand out.

Timbuk2 Luggage Tag ($5-10): Durable nylon backing, rugged attachment point, so it won’t rip.   Also comes in some unique colors so that you can spot your bag coming down the line.

Lewis N. Clark 2-Pack ($10): Get a 2 packer so that you can put one on each bag.  Made of leather and has a nice handy grip so that you can wrap it around your luggage.

Travel Accessories by Samsonite ($5): Unique colors making it very easy to spot your bags.  Choose from a bright green or an orange.  Made of leather and is very durable.

Leather Luggage Tag by Eagle Creek ($7): Another set of bright colors.  One of the highest quality in terms of tags, so that you know your tag isn’t going to wear away over time.

Bucky Identi-Grip (around $10): These are pretty cool because they have a unique design to them.  While many of them are colors, you can choose from a crazy color, as well as a design.  Cushion grip, as well as a hidden window to display your address or business card.

When choosing a luggage tag, you’re going to want to keep the following in mind…

• Get a bright color.  These help you choose your bag easily.
• Find something durable.  Many people tend to choose leather.
• Find something that won’t break away.  Make sure that it’s tied tight.
• How can you display your information?  You will want  a protective window.
