Travelling around the world is always fun but when you start to form a family, there’s only so much you can do to keep your children occupied.  We were all children once and we know how tough it is to keep one’s attention.  A five year old isn’t going to want to go to the art museum or pro football hall of fame.  Instead, you should try a few of these ideas.

Pull a road trip- If you’re a fan of being in the car and seeing all the sights and smells, you may want to consider a road trip across the country.  Even though you don’t need a destination, it’s sometimes fun just to hop in a car for a few days and just go places.  Make sure you bring your child a lot of entertainment such as coloring books, DVDs, etc, all depending on their age.  Make sure you get a great hotel with a pool to make the trip worth it for your son or daughter.

Go to the amusement parks – Every kids dream is to go to a amusement park like Disney World.  Either flying or driving, depending on where you live would be a great adventure for your family.  An amusement park may sound boring for an adult but there’s actually a lot to do there to keep yourself entertained.

Try the beaches – Who doesn’t like the beach?  If you’ve ever been to the beach before, I’m sure you’ve noticed tons of kids running around having a blast.  Take your kid there for a few days and have them play around in the pool, sand, and everything else.  While they run around, simply whip out a book and read.  It could be a very relaxing vacation!

Disney cruise line- The Disney cruise line is huge when it comes to kids.  The cruise is designed for families with children like yours.  So, if you’re hesitant on bringing them on board, don’t be afraid!  There’s everything from shows to dinners with Mickey Mouse.  Not only would you be enjoying all of the cruise festivities, you’ll be enjoying wonderful views out on the oceans.

Travelling with children may discourage you.  Instead, it should encourage you to see the world with your family.  Try and budget your vacation and just make sure you bring lots of entertainment for your child’s travelling needs.  You won’t want a whiny or bored child.
