Having kids can be fun and stressful at the same time.  We all know this feeling if you have a little one around.  Now, like myself, I’m still taking my vacation, even if I have 10 kids running around!  The only downfall is that it’s always tough to find a destination that’s going to work for me, as well as the kids.

Now, when you’re ready to plan a vacation, there are a few things that you’re going to want to keep in mind.

  • Are they going to remember it?
  • Do they have the patience to last?
  • Are you actually going to enjoy it?

Ask yourself these questions and you should be able to get yourself on the right path.  With that being said, I would recommend these destinations for those that are under 12.

  1. Disney World / Land: Do I need to say more?  I think everyone has heard of Walt Disney World.  Amusement park, food, fun, and nice weather!
  2. The Beach: Whether it’s Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, or Virginia Beach, there are a lot of things that you can do to keep yourself entertained.
  3. Hershey PA: Known for the Hersheypark.  A great amusement park that the kids sure can enjoy.
  4. Cedar Point: Another amusement park that is sure to be a blast with kids.  Located in Sandusky, Ohio.
  5. Yellowstone: National parks are a hit because they cost next to nothing and there is so much to do.  Why not visit a park that is filled with hiking, rafting, and more.
  6. All Inclusive Resorts: This can anywhere from the Virgin Islands to Florida.  Sit back and not worry about anything.  Get your food paid for, your hotel, and more.
  7. New York City: Any of your bigger cities are a blast.  A great place to skip out on a car and just walk to the town.
  8. Chicago: Like NYC, there is so much to do.  Add this to your big city list to have a great experience.
  9. Ski Resorts: Does your family like to ski or snowboard?  Take advantage of winter vacations and head to a place like Salt Lake City, Utah.
  10. A Cruise: Places like Disney have a cruise that you can take advantage of and have a blast.  With something like this, make sure its something that your child will be patient with!

As you can see, there are a lot of ideas!  Is your kid going to like it?  Well, you’re going to know your child the best.  Think of some ideas using the topics above and see what you can find.  Have fun!
