The Best Airline Miles Credit Cards
posted by FindAirlineCards.comIf you’re a frequent traveller either for business, or for personal reasons, there are a few things that you should consider when you’re trying to pick out the best card for your travels. If you follow a few of these tips, I can almost guarantee you that you can get a great card.
Be loyal to an airline
The first thing that you want to do is check out the airlines that you fly a lot. If you’re all over the place, I would pick one out that you truly enjoy. Airlines love loyal customers, and if you have a credit card, it shows even more loyalty. The reason I like sticking to one airline is because you’ll get a lot more rewards than the average Joe.
What are you getting for your money?
When you look at the credit card applications online, you’ll want to know how much money you’re getting for every mile you travel, or spend. For example, are you going to get 6 points per mile, or dollar? Write these down on paper, and compare all of the cards.
What other benefits are you getting?
Most travel based cards are more than just travel rewards. You’ll have to look into what else you’re getting. Are you getting hotel rewards? car rental rewards? I like a card that gives you bonus points across the board. You’ll also want to keep your eyes peeled for cards that give you discounts on particular products.
What kind of fees are there?
Usually, I’m against annual fees, and other fees like that. But, you’ll have to keep in mind that if you travel a lot, you’ll find that the fees are worth it. With some of those fees, you’ll find that some cards are going to give you access to your club, complimentary upgrades, and more. Remember, that this will all depend on the car issuers on what you’re going to get.
There are a lot of airline based cards out there, and I would highly advise that you check out at least 10 before you sign the dotted line. Remember a few of these points, and hopefully you find a card that works for you!
