The Secrets to Cheap Airline Tickets
posted by FindAirlineCards.com
How would you like it if I told you that you could save almost half on your airline tickets and all it would take is a few minutes of your time? Well, I’m sure you’re not going to say no to this. I’m going to show you a few airline secrets that the airline companies don’t want you to know about.
ALWAYS book through the airline – Whenever you’re going to buy an airline ticket, make sure that you buy your ticket directly through the airline itself. What I usually tend to do is browse major websites like Orbitz.com and see who is currently offering the best deals. From there, I will go to the airline’s website directly and book through them. This alone will save you about $20 per ticket depending on your flight.
Sign up for e-mails – Every major airline out there has an e-mail list and just for signing up, you’ll be alerted with the best deals possible on some flghts. Depending on the company, sometimes you’ll get deals right away and some you will have to wait until they release their next newsletter. This is a great way to keep up with the industry and find out what deals are out there.
Fly discount – If you’re not loyal to your airlines, I would suggest you fly a discount airline. Discount airlines always run great specials that you can take advntage of. Don’t let the word “discount” haunt you. Thousands of flights leave everyday and rarely, do we have accidents in the air. Discoun airlines alone can save you hundreds.
Try and airline credit card – Airline credit cards are a great way to save on your flight as well, if you don’t have one already. The cool thing about an airline credit card is that you usually get a free ticket just for signing up. This will all depend on the company you apply through. Once you apply for it, make sure you use it for all travel related purchases so that you can get points per dollar. In the long run, you can cash these points in for prizes or free airline tickets or upgrades.
Call the airlines – Sometimes the Internet isn’t the best place to go. If you find a good deals for one of the airlines you’re interested in, call up the airline and see if they are offering better specials than those online. If they are, ask for more details. If not, just book your tickets online.
Some of these may not be secrets to you but for many, this is the first time they’ve heard of it. If you’re one of these people, I highly recommend you try out these techniques the next time you want to book a flight. You’ll be surprised at how much money you can save.
