When you think of Athens, you probably would never think of Athens, Ohio.  Today, we’re going to focus on this city and I’m going to show you the fun things you can do in this country.  Just an hour outside of Columbus, Athens is one of the most unique places you’ll probably end up.  Here are few things that might interest you if you do decide to visit Athens, Ohio.

Sells Park – Athens, Ohio is knownf or their parks and outdoor life.  If you’re a big fan of the outdoors and parks, you’ll want to check out Sells Park.  Sells Park is only a few minutes away from Ohio University’s main campus and if you find yourself coming here, you can enjoy either a peaceful walk around the park itself or a simple picnic under a tree.  Be sure to check out the other parks that Athens, Ohio has to offer.

Art of Ohio – The art of ohio features everything from pottery to jewelry.  No matter what kind of art you like, the Art of Ohio in Athens will have an exhibit for you.  Created in 1965, the Ohio Arts Council encouraged the development of the arts.  See how far they have come today.  Even if you’re not a fan of art, you’ll still find yourself enjoying the exhibits.

Ohio University - If you’re a fan of college campuses, you’ll want to check out Ohio University’s campus.  If you’re lucky enough, you may even be able to catch a sporting event while you’re in town.  Founded in 1804, Ohio University if the oldest college in Ohio and what the first in the Northwest Territory, and the ninth oldest public university in the United States alone.
