Travelling can be fun, but when it comes time to travel via the air, you may find that you’re going to run into some weather delays.  This is why it’s always important that you check ahead of time to see how your flight is doing.  You may find that it’s going to be delayed for a lot longer than you think.

When it comes to travelling via the air, there are a lot of great websites that you can look at in order to see how your flight is doing.  These sites also come in handy when you’re looking at friends or relatives flights that are coming.  Be sure to check out some of the websites below.

FAA.GOV - The Federal Aviation Administration controlled by the government is probably the best and simplest site when it comes to getting travel information.  On their website, you’ll be able to see most major airports across the globe.  Highlight the airport you want to look at and it will tell you if the airport is experiencing any delays.  The color green generally means all flights are on time.

FlightStats.com -FlightStats is simply amazing when it comes down to flights and learning about delays.  Their map has a little bit more to choose from and cool thing about their program is that you can specify what airline you want to look for.  Input the flight number and it will show you if it’s running late or if it’s on time.  You can also see exactly where the flight is if you’re looking to track a friend or relatives flight.

FlightArrivals -Flight Arrivals is just like FlightStats.   The layout isn’t as nice, but it gets the job done.  Here, you can do the same things.  You can track flights, see delays and more.  This site was ranked as Yahoo’s 50 most incredibly useful sites.  Be sure to check this one out as well.

If you don’t feel like calling or getting off your computer, you can search these sites for a ton of information that you can use.  It’s always better to know if your flight is on time.  This will give you a better chance to prepare, and also, it shouldn’t surprise you when you walk into the airport and find out that your flight was delayed.
