Window or Aisle Seat? Which Is The Best?
posted by FindAirlineCards.comWhen it comes to booking your ticket or flying, you’re often probably wondering, “Should I choose the window seat or the aisle seat?” Since they both have their advantages and disadvantages, let’s look at the upsides and downsides of both the window and the aisle.
THE WINDOW SEAT

Upsides:
Keeps you entertained. Sometimes you may find yourself being a little bored on a flight. Nothing beats checking out the great blue skies while flying.
Sometimes you may find yourself tired. With an aisle seat you have to sleep against the chair. With the window, you can lean your head alongside the wall.
With a window seat, you’re going to feel a little more private. You won’t have to worry about those behind you in the aisle looking at your DVD player or what you’re doing on your laptop.
Downsides:
If you need to get up to go to the bathroom or you simply want to stretch your legs, you’ll most likely have to get up and bother at least one person.
If you have longer legs, sometimes it’s nice to stretch your legs. With the window seat, you can put your legs out into the aisle.
Sometimes you may find people in your row are a little slow. What does this mean? When you need to get off, it’s going to take a little longer. This isn’t good for those with a connecting flight.
THE AISLE SEAT

Upsides:
The aisle seat is nice if you want get up and go to the bathroom or simply stretch your legs. When you get up, you won’t have to bother anyone.
If you find yourself being claustrophobic with certain situations, you may find that the aisle gives you a little bit more room.
If you’re in a rush to get off the plane, you may find that you can get off the plane a little quicker when it comes to leaving.
Downsides:
You may find the carts coming by once in a while, which may in turn either hit your elbows or bother you when they sit in front of you every other minute offering beverages or snacks.
Even though is a rare case, you may find yourself sitting next to a person that simply can’t hold it when it comes to the bathroom. What does this mean for you? You have to keep getting up. It’s kind of annoying when you have a laptop or your tray down with drinks and snacks on it.
Less private. If you’re working on business on a laptop or you’re just watching a movie, your movie and laptop are most likely entertainment for the 15 rows behind you as well.
As you can see by now, they both have their upsides and downsides. Most people will agree that the middle seat is by far the worst seat on the plane. It’s only good if you’re travelling with someone you know. Whether you’ve flown a million times or not at all, I’m hoping this guide will help you better understand what kind of seat you want.

Great post! Loved the pictures to go along with the story. I have some interesting travel stories on my site if you want to check them out. (I prefer window. Great views, you don’t have to keep getting up for someone else, and no elbow bumping into the carts)
